Saturday Walk - Mardale Meander. 

Led by Roger Atkinson, five members had a good walk around the head of Mardale taking in Kidsty Pike, High Street, and Mardale Ill Bell

Evening Walk - The Pepperpot, and climbing at Warton Upper  

Sharing the evening with the 'official' first Thursday night climbing outdoors on Warton Upper , 19 members and friends met up at Eaves Wood car park for a delightful evening walk led by Peter Goff, taking in Waterslack, Arnside Tower, green hellebores at Holgates, and the 'Pepperpot' in Eaves Wood. The walkers and the climbers all met up in the delightful and unique Woodlands Pub afterwards.

Mid-week Walk and communal meal based on High House. 

Eight members arrived at High house for the mid-week walk, but given the cold and wintry conditions we split into two groups. One group drove over to Loweswater for a low level walk round the lake, whilst the other four set out for a higher level route. Walking to Seatoller, the group caught the bus to Honister and walked up and over to Launchy Tarn. The original plan was to then drop down through Rigg Head quarries to High Doat and walk back to High House, but High Spy beckoned instead. With snow on the fells and a cold wind behind us, they walked on over Maiden Moor and down to Hause Gate. Dropping down into Borrowdale, tea and scones were taken in Grange, and a return to High House made along the Cumbria Way to Longthwaite, followed by Mountain View and Black Sike.
A walk of about 12 miles which wasn't bad for the planned walk of "about 5 miles"!
A Jacobs Join meal was eaten in High House, and both groups agreed it had been a good day.
